...by a wren!

I was working at home this morning, but getting ready to head to the office. I had left the door open to the garage (along with the garage door being up) while I took some stuff out to the car. I am in the great room, and I hear some noise in the kitchen/garage. I go into the kitchen, and this psycho bird is freaked out trying to exit via my close bay windows in the kitchen.

Took me awhile to coax the thing out, after it toured the whole first floor. Finally got it out the back door by steering it with a broom.

Arg. At least I didn't have to do something drastic :D I didn't want a bird trapped in here crapping on my stuff all day.

I'm glad he made it out safely. :)

Me too! And my furniture is still poop free, so all's good.

Didn't want to have to do a "ground check" to make sure I knew what type of bird it was. ;)

Aren't those big birds? Musta been quite an adventure. You still probably didn't get enough running around to validate a good cardio workout. :D

I had a little brown bird trapped in my house a while back. He was perched above my front door. When we opened the door, he got spooked and ended up flying inside the house. Took us about half an hour to get him out of the house. And he was a little guy! I dunno what I'd do if something as big as a wren got in.

Glad everything turned out okay. :tu:

Just thought of something... You don't have any goldfish do you?

Wrens are small.

And I don't have fish now. Used to, though.

 Ah! My bad! You wrote WREN and I immediately pictured an EGRET... I don't know my birds too well.

The visual came out like this...

I woke up to a horrific commotion one night coming from my parents' room(worse than usual). This bat had flown in through an open window, and Dad was flailing away at it with a pillow. He finally knocked it down and got it out of the house. Bats are hard to hit, what with their sonar and all.
