Our town has a pumpkin show starting next week. Winning pumpkin will probably be about that size. They also make the biggest pumpkin pie in the world. 400 lbs!!!! I've never checked it out but I'm sure they have a web page. Circleville Pumpkin Show

Mmmmmm... pumpkin pie.
We have a pamphlet here on how to grow giant pumpkins. One guy who works here said he was going to grow a great big pumpkin to get rich quick. Another one of my coworkers, who grew up in farm country, says it's very hard work to grow giant pumpkins. So... not a get rich quick scheme.
I want to see the most beautiful pumpkin! I'll keep looking...

when I was 7 my grandpa in Colorado grew a pumpkin that was big enough for me and one of my cousins to sit inside it once we gutted it :p it was HUGE... we were going to move it up the 4 steps to my grandparents porch so we put it in a wheel barrow (it was too heavy to lift and carry up the steps), but the stupid thing broke before it got to the top :( so we just had LOTS of pie
oh... and it was one of the pretty ones.. it would have made a PERFECT jack-o-lantern

Winning pumpkin at this years Circleville Pumpkin Show is 1,324 lbs!!!
They also made the pumpkin pie BIGGER. It has a diameter of 14'. Not a typo. Fourteen feet across!!!
I can't remember all the ingredients but it has like 500 pounds of sugar in it.
