It has been mentioned a couple of times here that there are on-line companies who will make up supps and powders according to your specifications. But I can't find the link.

Would people recommend sites?

TIA

The other one I have bookmarked is www.proteinfactory.com . I've not ordered from either. I mean to at some point, just haven't gotten around to it.

The protein factory seems a little overpriced (http://proteinfactory.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=564) . I t bothers me a little that it will mail you flax seed oil. Even though it warns you to refrigerate the flax oil, mailing it has not assurances of it being kept refrigerated throughout the transport. In fact that is most unlikely, and exposure to heat or prolonged room temperature causes the flax oil to go rancid and lose the advantages one takes it for. The only company that I know is reliable in that regard is Spectrum, which delivers its products to stores in its own refrigerated trucks.

True protein looks interesting but I would have to put the powders in capsules myself. They do sell a machine to that rather cheaply. I was wondering if anyone knew how high the nuisance factor is on that?

Why would you want to put protein powder in capsules? Or am I missing something here?

I think bodybuilding.com sells the kit to make your own capsules (I think), but I don't know if it would really be worth it. I'd have to take about 200 capsules a day. :)

 I want to put Alcar, taurine, etc. in capsules...

I e-mailed the guy at KENT. He said that True protein had good quality stuff. But they only sell their stuff in bulk. He also said that those capsule machines were pretty useless. So I guess I will have to be going for a brand...:( more expensive by a lot.....

Because I prepare my supps for the week. I have a a set of weekly pill boxes. Each day breaks out as a separate case for the day and has 4 compartments... which is what I need to haul around with me when I pack my food for the day. Normally, I cook most of my food and set up my supps, protein shakes (I have containers that keep the powder separate until needed) and vitamins (and AM and PM meds... Life as an old person  ) on Sundays. I have to haul my food for the day after breakfast just about every day until the evening.

I hate this... I don't know if I can do it any more.... I think I am going to ask the university for a break on the evening teaching stuff. I've been doing it for 13 years every semester and I am the only one who does.

As are most things "custom" :) There's a reason bulk is cheaper.

You could just buy a good capper and buy the bulk ingredients yourself.

Well, the guy at Kent said that the inexpensive cappers don't work very well, and the cheapest decent capper is about $800. So I think I am sticking with pre-caps.

This is what I am getting for Taurine (http://www.vitacost.com/NSI-L-Taurine) and Alcar (http://www.vitacost.com/NSIAcetylLCarnitineHCl-500mg-300Capsules). David (the Kent guy) said that this company's stuff was pretty good and that they bought many things from the same sources.

I am a little nervous about the Taurine as it is double what I usually take (I take it 3 times a day as part of my fat-burner stack.)

And I am less successful finding a decaf Green Tea supp that is not too expensive. The NSI's does not indicate that it is decaf.
