I know the debate goes on whether glutamine helps or not. I give it to my patients in the ICU...along with fish oil and a concoction of antioxidants. So, never minding the debate, I want to know among those who eat clean and exercise regularly, who actually takes gluatamine on this forum? and if so, how much and when?
Thanks.

I do because it's in other supplements. Every day. But I don't take glutamine by itself.

Nope....don't touch the stuff. I have been toying with the idea of supplementing with just AAKG or OAKG (I think it's a better choice personally).

Regarding original post - I get glutamic acid from my protein powder but I'm sure if the effects are the same as taking a pure glutamine suppliment. I've heard from a friend that it helps him with soreness reduction. He takes 1 scoop with his post-workout shake.
