hi,

there have been some days where I just couldn't eat as much as I normally do because I was preparing for exams at the university until late and forgot to bring anything to eat. usually some of my buddies go to burger king when we have a little break. sometimes I just think why not have a whopper with tons of calories, it should be better for putting on mass than eating nothing at all, shouldn't it?

is this wrong thinking or is it true? because many people say caloric excess is more important than what you eat for putting in size.

of course you can't eat it all the time though..just in those kind of situations..

thanks

You can easily use burger king and other fast foods in emergencies, especially trying to bulk. Just make good choices (order a big-assed salad and like three servings of chicken to put on it), although I'm not really sure of the fat content in their chicken.. I'm assuming it's not alot since it's got no breading, I could be wrong though. Check out some of their nutrition facts on their website.

I guess......

Throw away the crappy white bread bun and it'd be better than nothing....might not blow your calories so badly either. There's a million 'better' places to eat though. I'd plan a little better also. Consider that your cheat meal.

I have been following John Berardi's suggestions of getting "nutrition" at places like BK etc:

order two or three burgers (or a double whopper without cheese). Stack all the patties between two buns. I have to do tht as they don't have double or triple whoppers with the veggie patties.

We have a Chik-fil-A on my campus so I just get a grilled chicken sandwich and one of their salads. I do this twice a week since on and it seems to be working out alright. I would say as long as your calories aren't grossly underestimated it shouldn't hurt.
