Anyone know what the nutrition info is for this stuff? I can't find it anywhere on the net.

Its pretty damn tasty and cheap ($3.90 / LB) at Walmart. I trim off all the visible fat except marbling and it still works well. From my understanding, they make the cut in the area where the chuck starts, right next to where the ribeye ends. Only downside is that it doesn't do well to overcooking; you need a pink center. (Which isn't a problem for me, I can eat steak that practically still has a heart beat.)

I cook mine with some lemon pepper, salt, cayenne. I recommend it to the low budget JSFers out there.

Well that depends on how it's cooked. For example, if you have 100g of it grilled on the BBQ, the following will be the nutrional value;

Calories - 202, Protein - 37g, Carbs - 0, Fat - 6g, Sat. fat - 2.5g, Cholesterol - 82mg, Calcium - 7mg, Sodium - 49mg.

I hope that helps.

I dont know how accurate this is, but:
http://www.evitamins.com/healthnotes.asp?ContentID=3644009

Calories: 293.3
Protein: 22.6g
Carbohydrate: 0.0g
Total Fat: 21.84g
Fiber: 0.0g

which is dramatically different than Melbournian's data as far as fat content? :confused:

There is a lot of opposing information. I know the meat has a high amount of fat that can be trimmed, and not so much marbling. Considering that, maybe split the difference?

I'm not disputing anyone's information, my only concern is whether nutrition websites have attained the correct information.

My information was collated from the following site;http://www.calorieking.com.au/foods/calories-in-beef-steak-chuck-simmered-lean_f-Y2lkPTQ4MTk0JmJpZD0xJmZpZD03ODEmZWlkPTEwMTc3OTU3Jn Bvcz0yJnBhcj1od2Yma2V5PWNodWNrIHN0ZWFr.html
