Does anybody else on here follow Pro bodybuilding? If so what are your thoughts on the Olympia. I was pretty surprised with the way things turned out :blank:

Well I'm glad Cutler won..If you ask me its been long overdue...He worked real hard over the year and you can tell it too. He improved BIG time, while Coleman looked as he was slacking off. For a second there I thought I was the only one that noticed Colemans gut, guess the judges finally caught on

I didn't watch but just checked out the results. Whoa! Jay has to be so happy. He's been working just that much harder to try to come in top place all these years. I guess he won't have to shave his head after all. :)

No doubt that Cutler worked hard all year, but I really don't think he came in 100%. They both had horrible guts. I think Victor came in solid and I was happy with his finish. Dexter is still my favourite.

I was surprised, but not necessarily disappointed. I like both Ronnie and Jay, and it's always hard for me to root for one or the other. I do think Jay may have looked better, but (and not that this is an excuse, again I like them both) I believe Ron did have an injury this year (?).

I wonder if Ron will show up for 2007.

I heard he was devastated and refused interviews afterwards. I wouldn't be surprised if he stopped competing after tonight.

What's Ronnie Coleman's life post-olympia? Acting/governing?

In a perfect world Victor would have won...Fantastic Proportions, Brutal defintions, rock hard body....but now a days ppl just want to see oversized monsters with veins coming out of their veins, where even glutes have 6 packs... In todays olympia standards, Frank Zane in his peak wouldnt have won

This is sadly true.. thanks to steroids, people now associate bodybuilding as a joke (literally). Touch has been lost as to what it really means; reaching human perfection aesthetically.

But thankfully there are people like mastover!

It's not steroids....it's the new crap....myostatin inhibitors, GH, insulin. Steriods are Mickey Mouse by comparion. Mentzer, Zane, Columbo, Arnie, Lou, they were all on steroids. Who do you think looks better?

Zane will always have the most classic physique in my book:tucool:. Like it or not though, this is where the sport has gone. If it weren't about size, Victor definately would have had it.

Jay's abs look strange.

Agreed. They're not well aligned and are very

looking. I don't think it's as distended as Ronnie's though.

This (http://mr-olympia-2006.ronnie.cz/callouts/) is interesting...I prefer Dexter Jackson's Look....but that's just me. Between Jay and Ronnie....Jay was better overall. Ronnie gave up some size for conditioning this time around IMO.

Damn - Jay looks way too bronzed! :) He's huge though... His lats are booming... I really like Victor Martinez. Dexter Jackson's delt and chest striations are amazing.

Good link Gordo! Thanks for the vids GTX.

What movie was the posing music near the beginning of Victor Martinez's routine from?

Something futuristic, sci-fi...

I'm thinking circa 1985-1992

Or was it Scarface...?

This is gonna kill me. I really like how Victor looked though. Yeah George, Ronnie could've saved the whole Moses coming down with the 10 Commandments thing.

I think that's pretty horrible if you're <185 and resort to things like that.
