View Full Version : WTF is WRONG with me?!?!
Mom Sun, August 20th, 2006, 02:22 AM Now, I truly am not trying to be ignorant.
Someone tell me if this is this because I had two kids or WHAT?! These were just taken TOGETHER (the infamous myspace pic) I mean ,DUH, I know I am flexing myself to the side, but you can see this when I am standing up... it's not HORRIBLE... but it's there...
Will it go away while I continue cutting or WHAT????
The first one shows the bulge thing and I took the second one around the same time...you can see I am NOT a big person and I have been trying hard to cut and... so WTF?!?!?!?!? will this go away? get better?
:bang:
Jokat Sun, August 20th, 2006, 02:39 AM Hi,
Are you refering to your hip? Cos if that goes away you will not be able to walk! Seriously, I think you look great and are seeing things that dont exist! :tu:
Mom Sun, August 20th, 2006, 02:56 AM Noooo. I mean right where my ab muscles would be there is a funny bulge... you can't always see it - see the pic on the right I dn't have it..... maybe it's the way I'm standing??? You can see it just a little when I'm standing straight , but not as bad...:blank:
Victoria35 Sun, August 20th, 2006, 03:39 AM It looks like you let your abs relax in the first pic....in the second you pulled them back in plus you turned and stretched the area taut....it's just about postioning.........models work on that all the time.....
You remind me of ME......we women are so damn hard on ourselves:nono:
Victoria:)
Omaha Sun, August 20th, 2006, 03:50 AM Are you talking about the entire abdomen (http://www.easygym.com/muscles/abdominaux-grand-droit-abdomen.jpg)?
That is simply your abdominal muscle, and your figure looks far from odd or unattractive.
Don't nit pick yourself. That is how the human body is supposed to look like.
Spend your time worrying about more important things.
Butterflyer Sun, August 20th, 2006, 07:47 AM    Different strokes for different folks I guess. I have one picture from my recent vacation where I saw that and I got all excited because I've never seen any evidence of the existence of abdominal muscles on myself before.
I always thought that was supposed to be a sexy feature on a woman's body.
You look great!!:) You're just fishing for compliments aren't you???
P.S. Please take this in the spirit of lighthearted support I intended. I totally understand WTF-is-wrong-with-me syndrome.

Patient: Doctor Doctor, when I do this, *lifts arms* - it hurts
Doctor: "Don't do it then"

Andrew Sun, August 20th, 2006, 09:42 AM Noooo. I mean right where my ab muscles would be there is a funny bulge...
I think you're talking about your actual AB MUSCLES!
Seriously, there is no abnormal bulge. You look great.
Mom Sun, August 20th, 2006, 10:39 AM No I'm HONESTLY not fishing for compliments. I can get that at home. LOL.
Seriously though, It looked completely abnormal to me - WHOA no pun intended:doh: .
The reason it upset me is because this woman I know who was a little larger ,started working out and as she lost more weight she had this funny bulge in her stomach, but she was still overweight (at the time) so I know it couldn't have been her ab muscles or could it? It's hard to explain. But that is why I was a little concerned. I have been BUSTING it and fallowing threads and rules and reading everything and by golly I seen that, likened it to the same thing she had (which didn't look like ab muscles) and I was pi$$#d that I had wasted my time..
I am just being hard on myself. But it really did scare me when I seen that.
Skoorb Sun, August 20th, 2006, 10:49 AM When did you have your last child? It could be because of that, but if you trim a bit further you'll notice gains in this area.
guava Sun, August 20th, 2006, 11:53 AM I see what you mean about the bulge thing, but I agree with everything butterflyer said. That "bulge" is because of your ab muscles. It's supposed to look like that, and is very sexy.
As evidence, I present to you this woman who's on the cover of Shape magazine.
Mom Sun, August 20th, 2006, 11:55 AM
My son is 2 years old and my little girl is 8 months going on 9 months.
Thank you for the pic. That makes me feel great!

Thank you for the pic. That makes me feel great! :nod:I'm sure you know it can take a whlie for the uterus and "all that stuff down there" to shrink back. I know one of our neighbors took a year for her stomach to flatten out to where it was (and not just related to bodyfat levels).
Butterflyer Sun, August 20th, 2006, 05:48 PM I guess only the doctor could say for sure, but it looks more rectus abdominis shaped than uterus shaped to me!
Thanks guava for finding that pic! That's exactly what I'm talking about, and I couldn't think of where I'd seen pictures like that.
Mom, and I have to say it feels real funny to call you that, when I first saw your picture I was a little bit jealous ;) because I'd like to look like that, and a little bit sad because you were being so hard on you.
I would not have guessed that you'd had kids if I'd seen your pic without your username or the info that you'd had 2!
Mom Sun, August 20th, 2006, 09:43 PM Actually no I didn't know it took up to a year... well see how much I know? :o
I chose Mom because I couldn't come up with another name.
I am super self conscience so I'm always hard on myself and after having my kids it was WORSE and I was determined to get my body back in shape. I breastfed BOTH my babies and now I have NO boobs and plan on having a breast augmentation soon. I also work with a photographer over in B'ham Alabama and he's showing me the ropes to "modeling". Not something I plan on making a full time thing, but I love it even for I only do it a couple more times and drop it. lol. It's fun and refreshing and keeps me motivated!
Thanks ya'll, I do appreciate it.. I really do have that "WTF is wrong with me??" syndrome. ;)
Andrew M Tue, August 22nd, 2006, 11:11 AM Compared to 99% of women who've given birth 8 months ago, you look excellent. In fact, I'd not have guessed without your info. You're being far too hard on yourself.
Andrew.
Themadstork Tue, August 22nd, 2006, 02:02 PM Whatever you do, don't get in a group of new moms, show them your midsection and start complaining about how out of shape you are. They are likely to beat you to death with their celery stalks! :flex:
DRLski Fri, August 25th, 2006, 05:19 PM you look great to me, keep it up
