Hey all,

Coupla thangs...

1. Just wondering, is a Curl Bar suitable for other lifting, like behind neck press, standing military press, shrugs etc?

I am currently using my old straight bar for curls and the above, but would like to swap it for a Curl Bar. I would prefer to keep my bench barbell heavy and on the rack.

2. Also, with a DB press is it more beneficial for the palms to be facing forward? [as opposed to in or angled]

Thanks again
BB

No equipment is suitable for behind the neck press.

What he's saying is the behind the neck press is a bad exercise because it can really screw up your shoulders. It puts them in an awkward position where the ligaments can be damaged easily. The same goes for behind the head pull-downs. Keep that bar in front of your head.
