Hi John,

Ever since you changed the look & feel of this forum, I have noticed that there are some white colored distortions around some emoticons like :nod: , :tucool: , etc.

Ignore this if this point has been mentioned by others or if it is going to be fixed in the new website that you are designing.

I've recently converted to the defult style and noticed it as well, well it's hard not to :D There we go again ;)

The white fringe you are seeing on some of the emoticons is a bit of antialiasing so they look better on white and light backgrounds.

In Gimp the filter to do this is "Semi Flatten"

It is possible to fix'em but someone would need to edit each one then reload'em on the server.

Yeah I know, like everyone else on this forum I've worked in design :D

All to do with anti-aliasing and transparent backgrounds.

I noticed that too, and it's on my punch list (but fairly low down).
