When I was in football and I turned my ankle a bit, or had somebody's frog my thigh or something, my coach would always ask me. "Are you hurt or injured?" This was a great question that always made me wonder if I needed to actually leave the drill/game or if I could REALLY tough it out for a bit.

Well lifting weights I've come across the same things. So far I've had some ankle, elbow and hip soreness that would last for a couple weeks, but I felt like I could struggle through, and all of them faded just like I hoped. However my shoulder has been bothering me for a week now, and I had even had a short vacation right after it first started hurting so it got some rest.

It is my old throwing arm from baseball, and it has felt better the last couple days. The only day I actually did shoulder work, it didn't really affect my strength, but later in the day I could barely move it. How do I know if I should give it a good rest or continue working through it?
