Is there a way you can tell if you tore something or just pulled it by the way it felt? I was bowling earlier tonight and felt a pop on the inside of my elbow. Right now I can move it around without a lot of pain with the exception of trying to curl something. My arm says "I don't think so" to that. I can't really pick up anything without feeling some pain. And taking a shower was interesting too.

It isn't very swollen at all, just pretty painful whenever I try to move it up like a curl, if I keep my hand palm up in general, or if I twist it a certain way. It was an experience trying to dry off after the shower this morning. Also it feels like my bicep is getting fatigued

Your symptoms could be a torn bicep. If it's not happy even after the day of rest, you really want a doctor to look at it.

I had a very similar injury about two years ago. It was the area right where the bicep meets my elbow. When I hurt it I felt a painful pop, then pain ensued for several days/weeks/months. It never really bruised or swelled up. It was just very very painful when ever I curled or did some sort of pulling.
Basically, I had to quit lifting for almost 9 months.
I went to two different doctors and one physical therapist.
Honestly, I think the physical therapy was a waste of time. I believe I would have been better off sooner if I had just let it alone and allowed it to rest and heal by itself.
The doctors x-rayed it and told me it was a strained bicep tendon...or bicep tendonitis. I was lifting too heavy....
Thankfully, I can now lift again....but I still have to be careful with my left bicep....
it flares up once in a while...and I have to ice and take anti-inflammatories.......
the doctors swear bu Naproxen...and Aleve....however, I am not completely convinced it speeds up the healing or relieves pain of that nature...
good luck!!!
I can remember showering was always very interesting right afterward.... :)
