View Full Version : Fitness/health career
Tim_14 Mon, August 7th, 2006, 06:51 AM Well, i'm in year 9 and have seriously been thinking about what i want to do as my career once i finish yr 12. I have an almost set goal to be an exercise physiologist and if i can also be a dietition or nutritionalist at the same time. But, i am open to any other suggestions that other people have for a well paid fitnes/health career.
So, if you guys can think of something thats well paid, to do with health/fitness the body or muscles/human movement (basically alot of the stuff thats discussed here on the forums) i would greatly appreciate it.
Thanx guys :)

Tim_14 Wed, August 9th, 2006, 07:16 AM mmmmm, alright, but what do they do? I dont want anything like....well how do i put it..doctory..or surgen.
iceweaselsarecool Wed, August 9th, 2006, 09:07 AM I used to think that until I got into it. Then I found out it's really cool.
What they do is help docs perform surgery. They are "Scrubbed in"(sterile) and help hand him tools or hold onto things. They're right in the middle of taking the pt. apart and putting them back together.
The reason I mention that as opposed to a fitness type career is that it is well paid. The people I know with degrees in training and nutrition are scrambling to find work, because the market is week right now, at least where I am.

I would be interested in being a personal trainer too but I looked and found out that salary is low. You'd probably have to move out to L.A or Hollywood and try to train some celebrities. If you make it that far, it pays pretty well.

Wow, I better get to work.
EDIT Does anybody know how to become a personal trainer for college or pro athletes or do I have to take the above path?
