So, yesterday morning my eye felt fine. I went to the gym to do some cardio, and then a few hours later my right eye suddenly started to hurt. I thought maybe it had something to do with sitting in front of the computer screen for too long, but it still hurt when I got up this morning. Upon inspection, I notice that I have what appears to be a whitehead on the part of my top eyelid that comes together with the bottom part. I didn't even think you could get whiteheads there. It's really irritating because when I close my eye it sort of rubs up against my eye. The pain isn't unbearable, but it's certainly an annoyance. And how the hell am I supposed to get rid of a whitehead on my eyelid? I mean, I can't wash there or I'll get soap in my eye.

Of course, I'm only assuming that its a whitehead because it kind of looks like one. It could just be some type of bump or something. But, I don't remember hitting my eye on anything.

Maybe you either have conjuctivitis or blepharitis. Which basically means an infection. See your doctor.

This (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stye) sounds like what you are describing.

Hey there,

Here in South Africa we call it a "Sty". Its and infection I believe. You will need to see your doctor about it.

A sty is what it is, i have had them before, there nothing to really worry about, as long as u treat it. All you need is to pick up some cream from the chemist or doctors and apply it like 2 times a day, and it will go away.

Good luck. Just treat it soon.

Hmmmm...well, yesterday it didn't look like that. But, today the area around the pimple has started to swell so now it looks very much like that picture. Is that a good or bad sign. Anyway, according to that page, there's a good chance it will go away on its own, so I'll try to wait a week and see what happens. I don't really know of any doctors around here. I suppose I could see the on campus medical office, but I'm not sure if they could treat something like this or not.

Place a warm wash rag over your eye morning and night, and it will help it to heal much faster.

Thanks for the advice. It really seems to be healing nicely. It doesn't even hurt anymore. That warm cloth really did the trick. I'm glad I didn't have to deal with that pain for a week.
