any students like myself find it hard to spread out your meals, when school only give you one lunch opportunity? i really want to be able to eat five or six small meals a day, but its like after breakfast, i can only get lunch in a predetermined half hour interval between 1030 and 1230, instead of eating at 10 and 1, which would be ideal. also i always end up eating whatever they serve for lunch because i dont know what i could bring to school that would sustain being in my locker and still be good? maybe im just not trying hard enough. i plan on reassessing my situation and correcting things this weekend, but anyone in a similar situation with advice?

I'm definitely not a role model for dieting but this is what I do:

I don't eat breakfast and drink about four or five bottles of water throughout the school day. By 10 AM, I've visited the school store and purchases two Balance bars and a Gatorade. I eat one bar immediately and the other about an hour later, starting and finishing the Gatorade between those times. I usually eat lunch every other day. At 3:45 I either run or lift. Then I drink a lot more water until dinner at 6:30 when I eat heartily but not in excess (and have a multivitamin). I never have dessert. I drink more water throughout the evening and try not to eat too much candy.

I feel slightly hungry in the morning until I get my Balance bars and slightly hungry late in the evening. I'm usually bursting with energy at 3:45 when I run or lift. At no time in the day do I feel unusually tired or weak.

I try to eat an extra helping of meat or fish at dinner.

I'm 5'9" and 134#, with a good amount of muscle, and sub 7% body-fat.

I live at a boarding school and if I tried a bit harder I could do a six meals per day plan. :o

I'm 16, 17 in june. Youngest here...Boo-yah!

Buy protein bars at your local costco, they are pretty filling, taste good, and you can easily eat one in between classes. Here's how my day usually goes:
6:30-7:30-Breakfast (Meal 1)
10:30-11:30-Protein bar
12:25 (Scheduled lunch time) 1 sandwich
1:50 (when I get out of school 1 sandwich
5:00-7:00 Tuna, usually. Sometimes eat dinner with the fam.
9:00-10:00 (right before bed) 1 cup milk w/ 1 scoop of whey.

It's easy and usually most teachers won't care if you eat a little sandwich and the end of the lesson. Just make sure it's not messy/no crumbs.

16 here,
my teachers have no problem with me, or anyone for that matter, eating in class, sometimes even during tests. Though, it's pretty annoying when your trying to think up a bio problem and someone is munching on chips.
