I've a set of adjustable dumbbells and I'm mainly looking for light, 15-minute weight lifting workouts, 4 or more times a week. The problem is* that I plan it for the evening and by the time I get back from work or classes, I'm just too exhausted to actually do it ... I just make dinner and then go to bed.
So my questions to those on the board is: When do you do your workouts/exercise? Can you recommend a good/optimal time to do 'em?
Thanks.
*Most of you will probably recommend to "just do it." I would prefer slightly more constructive advice here.

Just do it.
:D
The best time to work out is whatever time you want. I know guys who train at 4am as first thing in the morning, and I know guys who train at 4am as the last thing at night. I train at around 9pm.

Whenever you'll get off your butt and do it! I normally do most of my stuff int he mornings, but I'll do it at lunch or in the evening, if my schedule dictates that. Don't worry about the time of day and some tiny detail about hormones or god knows what at various times; do it when you can.

Just do it.
Ding ding ding we have a winner.
If you are too exhausted to workout, you should workout anyway, and make sure you have enough calories. Energy levels normally increase quite a bit as you improve your fitness.

To me, its an issue of convenience more than anything. If you place a workout at a time of convenience you're less likely to skip it.
As far as energy is concerned, I feel at my peak around 4pm-6:30pm ... but i get up later than most.

Alright, thatnks for the advice. I think I'm going to try to do it early morning, since these days I seem to be waking up a good hour before I need to leave.
