I am thinking of buying one for work because they are cheap and easy to clean. However, I was wondering if they did a good job with frozen fruit and already chopped ice.

Thanks for any feedback!

Below is the one I am looking at.

I don't know about that particular brand/model, but those types of blenders - when they have decent motors - absolutely ROCK!

What worries me, though, is that this particular model doesn't say anything about chopping hard items (like ice), and neither do any of the reviews. If you want to use it with ice, I'd probably look for a model that mentions ice (or nuts or coffee beans) in the advert.

I use one....but you have to get one with a quality motor. Frozen fruit is no problem. If the ice is cubes you can wreck the blender attachment shaft (especially if you jam a piece of ice). For chopping ice cubes you're better off to find one that includes a chopper attachment.
