Hypothetical situation, say you're going at it and its very hot and passionate and both of you are sweating and your heart is beating at pretty high intensity cardio pace for about 30 minutes. How many calories would you burn approximately? Would it be the same amount as running for 30 minutes if your heart was beating just as fast, or does the impact of exercise alter the amount of calories burned?

Let me be the first to suggest that during sex with your significant other, you ought not be trying to calculate calories in your head (or at least don't let her find out).
But I have seen this before... according to calorie-count.com, a 150-pound individual performing sexual activity "with vigorous effort" might burn 102 calories per hour.
Considering that during one of my normal 40-minute cardio sessions (5-mile run) I burn over 750 calories, this is NOT a satisfactory alternative.

But isn't going to do you any harm. And those 100 a day, adds up to about 1 session of cardio. Tell her she is helping you out, and making you both healthier.:tucool:

You can always wear a heart monitor and find out. But it's less than you might think, unless you get up to some unusually athletic sex.
You have this the wrong way around though. The correct question is how much training should you do to improve your sex life. Most forms of exercise improve your sexual capacity - cardio, strength.
And I got news for you. If you get debauched to the limits of your lover's imagination, it should take more than 30 minutes.
