Hey, I just heard about this amino-acid Beta Alanine and decided to look into it. There is alot of scientific backing that supports it but when it comes down to actual usage, its a split; some people see a difference some don't. I just want to know if anyone has tried it, and if so, how it is? thanks

Most everything I know linking a benefit to beta alanine is actually due to it being a precursor for carnosine, something that has been shown to have benefits for endurance and recovery. If I remember correctly, your body uses a combination of beta alanine and l-histidine to make carnosine, although I can't remember the exact ratio (I think the recommended doses were something in the neighborhood of 1.5g of beta alanine and 500mg of l-histidine).
If there are sketchy reports as to the effects of beta alanine it may come down to whether or not they were supplementing it by itself, and thus what their existing histidine levels were.
My 2 cents.
