I started cutting a few weeks ago for the summer. I can say I made some pretty good progress dropping from 188lbs to 180lbs until 3 weeks ago. For the last 3 weeks, my weight/measurements hadn't budged, and I had been eating very clean mostly every day.

This week, I ate like crap. Tuesday, I ate fast food, Wednesday night I went out and drank maybe 4-5 beers and some pizza and Thursday night I drank 2-3 beers too. I decided to weigh myself today, and to my surprise I had lost 2 lbs on the scale and 1/2 an inch on my weight. I was pretty happy, but I don't get how this could happen.

I ate clean foods for a few weeks, I had plateaued, I ate terrible this week and I progressed. Does anyone have an explanation???

you zig zagged your calories which confued your body.....it got ued to the same thing coming in every day....when you changed it it likely sent your metabolism crazy....it works sometimes ...sometimes it doesnt...
