While it's not my favorite -- doing cardio till I want to puke is not fun -- the only HIIT is on a track. Sprint the straights, jog the turns.

Hey guys. Curious to hear what everyone does for HIIT.

Mostly I do one of two sorts of HIIT:

Long repetition weight lifting.

Running quarter miles on a treadmill and uphill walking recovery.


I do a lot of other stuff from time to time - rowing, elliptical, jump rope, medicine ball throws. It's pretty much down to whatever I'm doing more of for a few weeks then I change it up.

3 mins warmup jog, then 1 min intervals of jog and sprinting, ending with 3 mins cooldown jog on the treadmill. Lasts 21 mins for 1 session, 3 times per week.

Just started it 1 week ago and it kicks my ass.

Elliptical: 23 minutes - 5 minute jog, 10 minute intervals (30 secs each) 5 minute jog, 1 minute reverse jog, 2 minute cool down

this is USUALLY how I do it.

Parking garage. I run around the the same way cars go. I sprint up the inclines, and jog the flat part. Once at the top of 6 flights, I run down the stairs and sprint back up, jog to another flight of stairs and repeat. I only do this with friends. Could never do it alone. It's tough.
