I am going to be starting work soon, summer vacation is over already:bang:. Anyway, I need some help with my diet. I've already posted it on the forums before and I have gotten lots of help, but my dilemma is a little different now. I need help with substituting 1 to 2 of my meals. My main problem will be my second meal. My current meal is tuna and sweet potatoes...well I'm a teacher and I can't just stop class, heat up my potatoes, and start munching. It will have to be some form of a shake (I think). I currently make a shake for when I miss meals, in emergencies, that consists of 2 scoops of protein, and 2/3 cup of oatmeal, I sometime add some Flax seed oil, depending on my fat intake for the day. The problem is that this shake is still pretty low in calories. Are there any suggestions?

I will have the same problem Monday's and Thursday's when I start my graduate classes, I can't bust out with some chicken, spinach, and fruit in the middle of class and start munching away. I'm guessing it will have to be the same type of meal as meal 2. I don't know.
Thanks guys....and gals.

Eat between classes. Prepare the night before and put in a container. That's what I did all through graduate school.

As for the tuna part, make a damn sandwich. Bread won't kill you. I don't know what your goal is, but if it's fat loss, you can eat bread without a problem. I know I've lost considerable fat with minimal muscle gain eating two sandwiches a day.

:nono: I think your meals sound great as they are and it would be a huge mistake to change them.

Shakes are generally full of artificial sweeteners and other chemicals. IMO, they should only be used in emergencies.

I eat my sweet potatoes cold. I precut them into 1/2 inch thick slices. If you prefer them a little warmer, you could wrap them in foil.

You could throw some chili in a thermos, or make a bean salad.

Whoa, I don't know what a bean salad is...I'll check into that. Maybe if I put my schedule down it will help.

I try to eat at least every 3 hours.

7:00am Breakfast
7:30-11:45: School with my little tikes starts and goes through the morning. They do have PE during this time but I have meetings so it wouldn't be in good taste to start munching a while my principal is talking to us. I would like to eat something at 9:30 to let my stomach digest before lunch. I'm not a high school teacher so I don't have class periods where I could eat in-between classes. Thanks though TB.

11:45-12:15: Lunch Should be my 3rd meal

3:00-4:00- After school and nothing is stopping my from heating up something and eating it. I"ll tutor the kids while eating, if they decide to have a late meeting, then they'll have to wait until I finish eating. It's after school.

After this I really don't have a problem except on Monday's and Thursday's.

I have my Graduate class from 4:30-7:20. I would like to eat about 6:00
And Monday's I probably will be able to if they give us a break. I know I won't get a break for my Thursday class, since I'll be working with kids non-stop during 4:30-7:20.

I'm not trying to make excuses, just giving you the facts of my problem, and you could get a better idea as to what is going on.

I'll look into that bean salad in a thermos, I'll sip it if I have to.
