Yeah I did that one time. Got 25. I don't have any faith in its scientific validity, especially as it's so culturally specific and verbally based.

Most IQ tests have been shown to only test one part of the brain, rather than general intelligence and knowledge. Fortunately, I have a high enough IQ # to win pissing matches with morons who don't realize the number is mostly meaningless. It's fun.

25 is very good, I just pissed away 8 minutes and knocked down 21 of them. I wouldn't say it's an IQ test per se, but I do agree with your analysis of this particular test. 3 of the questions/items are religion-based, so that would be a bias, some of the weights and measure items would exclude folks who use metric. Unfortunately, one's IQ is meaningless if he or she lacks common sense, social skills, and street smarts.

I liked it though Abigail - fun times!

Attn: Entrepreneurs

Everyone knows that if you are going to operate a business in today’s world you need a domain name. It is advisable to look at the domain name selected as other see it and not just as you think it looks. Failure to do this may result in situations such as the following (legitimate) companies who deal in everyday humdrum products and services but clearly didn’t give their domain names enough consideration:

1. A site called ‘Who Represents‘ where you can find the name of the agent that represents a celebrity. Their domain name is www.whorepresents.com

2. Experts Exchange, a knowledge base where programmers can exchange advice and views at
www.expertsexchange.com

3. Looking for a pen? Look no further than Pen Island at www.penisland.net

4. Need a therapist? Try Therapist Finder at www.therapistfinder.com

5. Then of course, there’s the Italian Power Generator company… www.powergenitalia.com

6. And now, we have the Mole Station Native Nursery, based in New South Wales: www.molestationnursery.com

7. If you’re looking for computer software, there’s always www.ipanywhere.com

8. Welcome to the First Cumming Methodist Church. Their website is www.cummingfirst.com

9. Then, of course, there’s these brainless art designers, and their whacky website: www.speedofart.com

10. Want to holiday in Lake Tahoe? Try their brochure website at www.gotahoe.com

I worked on a pretty hard one a while back. It was 20 (I think) number sequences which you had to complete. It was crazy difficult. I ended up getting just a bit more than half of them.

Most of the people that run the world or have a lot of power do not have exceptional I.Q.'s

I.Q. tests are like playing mini-golf. Fun while it lasted but then you're back out in the real world.

Many scientists and mathematicians have high I.Q.'s

But those in power simply use these people to achieve their objectives.

If I.Q. quotient was the answer then Mensa would be running the world.

But it isn't....

In fact in a documentary I watched it seems that a lot of top Mensa people have no idea what they really want to do....

Except go to more Mensa club meetings and solve more puzzles.

Amen and amen.

:) Nice. I feel better now. I need to take the time to get into Mensa, then (after reading this) I can feel validated about having no clue about where I'm going to take my life in the future. Right now it's like stay in Software Development and IT, make as much money as possible, and be done with "real" work.
