Unfortunately I still live with my parents and two brothers since I don't pay rent which is nice however I'm having an issue with food. I've been doing pretty well and have gone almost 100% clean in the nutrition department however no matter what I do I can't get anyone in my house to eat healthy, it is so unbelievably difficult at times (I know I'm singing to the quire) , not only this but all the food I buy for myself has a tendancy to dissappear and of course no one admits to it, even with my name on EVERYTHING. It's getting a tad expensive to keep buying everything only to have it eaten up by everyone else especially when there's some nice tasty ice cream or cake or cookies around the house. I'm this close to moving out but then I'd have to find a room mate to be able to afford it at the moment and I'd most likely run into the same problem. Ideas from peeps who's living with others?

Lots of airtight containers and keeping the grub in your own space. My roommates are very good about staying out of my stuff without asking (and they'd be horrified to eat most of my healthy food anyway). At the office I've got 90% of my food and supplements pretty much out in the open.

If I left anything in the office kitchen (besides flaxseed oil) I'm sure it'd be picked over by the vultures here in no time flat. Just keeping a small portion of perishable stuff at any given time and good amounts of food with a long shelf-life has worked out well for me and may for you as well. Right now I've got:

Protein Powder
Cashews
Cans of Tuna
Kashi GoLean Cereal
Loaf of Whole Wheat Bread
Bag of Steel Cut Oats
Box of Cliff "Builder" Bars
Applesauce Cups

...in my cube and:

5 oz Roast Turkey Breast
Quart of Lactaid 1% Milk
Flaxseed Oil

...in the 'fridge.

If you can seal up some food to prevent vermin from sniffing it out and coming into your space, store stuff in your room. It's worth a try. Better than two-legged vermin eating you out of your healthy food.

Maybe you can keep stuff in your room? You can probably find a small refrigerator you could fit in there too.
