WTH is "NFS" in the quantity field that I keep seeing? I'm sure it should be obvious to me, but I'm blocked :)

I know they aren't talking about Need for Speed or a computer file system type. That's the first two things that jump to mind (geek out much Andy?).

Googling hit Nutrition and Food Science programs at some schools and National Food Survey. Neither tell me much.

I've always wondered the same thing. I use it for "Not F**king Sure". :D

I believe it's "Not For Sure." It will generally take an average of all possible or common types. For instance, "Milk, NFS" is a mixture of whole fat, lowfat, and nonfat milk types.

You'll also see "NS" as in "NS as to fat added in cooking." This will most often assume the worst-case (that fat was, in fact, added).

Heh, I think it is generally a volume measure not a weight, so "Not further specified" makes sense, or maybe "not fully specified".

"Not further specified" is related to a Latin phrase: Non Aliter Specificatus or NAS.

Found this (http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/nfs) that has "not fully specified" as a possible (along with my off the top of the head acronyms I might add, so I'm not crazy).

I'm pretty sure it's not further specified, but not for sure is almost the same thing.

why doesn't fitday track sugar?

I entered a ton of custom foods, is there a way I can create another profile for my wife, without having to enter all those custom foods?

I sit in an office all day, and for the first day it counted my lifestlye at 298 calories which maybe right, but on the next day it was 811 calories. there is no way I am burning 811 at my desk. Can someone help?

What about Fiber, should we subtract the fiber from carbs to make sure we are getting enough carbs in?

How do you customize an activity like breastfeeding for my wife or eliptical?
