View Full Version : Non Alchoholic Beer
crupiea Mon, July 10th, 2006, 02:18 AM I know that drinking beer does not go well with fitness and a cutting diet. I also realize the alchohol will radically slow down fat burning. So what do you think the effect of non alchohlic beer would be on a cut? I know the calories would not be good but it seems the limited amounts of alchohol would not slow down weight loss. Whats you opinion?

What's the point in drinking beer if you can't get a buzz? Same with decaf coffee. What's the point?
Putting empty, non-nutritive calories in your body during weight loss is never a good option.
The one time I drank a sip of non alc beer, it tasted like pee (not that I'd know what pee tastes like  )
I'd stick with ice water, or a watered down protein shake. :tu:
BURNING20 Mon, July 10th, 2006, 01:39 PM Some people (me being one of them) enjoy the taste of beer and coffee - although pee I'll leave for the bushes and considering the difference in mineral and waste composition, they would taste nothing alike! :D - did you know that coffee is an excellent source of anti-oxidants, and that caffeine is a thermo-genesis booster, meaning you burn more calories - so why the bad rap?

Thanks for the neat info! :tu:
I enjoy learning little tidbits every day!
BTW, my remarks were directed at the non alchy beer. If you enjoy the taste, have the real thing. The last time I drank beer, or anything else alcoholic, was at a party in New Jersey about 23 years ago. The next day I woke up in a different state - not different state of mind - but a different state as in North Carolina. County lockup to be more specific. With a 3" gash on my head. Can't remember the beer exactly, but it came in a green bottle with a bunch of monks pictured on the label. Talk about a trip!! I highly recommend it!! :tucool:

You get the same antioxidant properties of liproproteins from decaf. All the health, less the buzz and adrenal fatigue.
Coachese Mon, July 10th, 2006, 04:29 PM Anyone, and I mean ANYONE, that pays good money for NON-ALCOHOLIC BEER should be strung up by what is left of their manhood and dangled over the castle walls.
Drinking non-alcoholic beer is like getting raped in prison -- all the pain and no gain.
