ok so here's a question alot of ppl ask.. suppose you ve been training really hard and building up all your muscle. suddenly there's a gap in your routine, exams, depression , whatever ! the gap runs longer and longer.. what's going to happen to all that muscle , is it going to become lax and droop. i ask this because i was thinking of turning up the heat on my abs. ..but hey right now its alright, i have a nice trim waist, if there s a gap i know my abs wont droop all over the place! what if im really trying to build some muscle there, can it turn into a monster when im not looking :)

muscle doesn't droop. Fat does. Not using a muscle for a long time just makes it shrink, but usually its not as quick to do that.
The abs are a very small group of muscle, hard to build up much mass there anyways.

No. Loose skin only happens after losing a lot of muscle and fat (and i mean a lot), more so if you try and lose it too quickly and without building muscle... but some people can be lucky and never have them.
Its very unlikely to have it happen with just a loss of a stone or thereabouts.

The muscle will shrink over about six months. If your calorie intake stays the same, you will gain equivalent poundage in fat to replace it. So, you might get soft, but not droopy. No reason to avoid building your abs. Fat will not have any different preference of where to place itself after bulking than it would if you hadn't bulked in the first place.
