Just curious if any others have had the same results with straight Arginine, or straight Citrulline,...
A while back, I gave NoExplode a try,...Stomach couldn't take it. Just couldn't handle it at all,..It's recomended to be taken on an empty stomach, so that's what I was doing. It would have me headed or the bathroom in a matter of minutes. Sometimes all but instantly.
At the time I had been using BSN Cell Mass as a creatine supliment, and that was working very well, so I wanted to give the NoExplode a try along with it as a pre workout booster, looking for that extra "Pump". Realizing some use "NO" products to achieve the same effect, I decided to give BSN's Nitrix a try instead, and see how my system handled that. All went well,....The Nitrix began to do what it was intended to after a few days, and the bottle was gone pretty quick based on the dosage recomended by BSN. It was to be taken on an empty stomach as well, but BSN has mixed a time release agent of some type in it to slow it's absorbsion.
Being the cheap skate,..I mean, Frugal person I am,...:D I had read that some folks use just the Arginine, or Citrulline, straight, as a "NO" supliment, cutting out the extras, that most of the manufactures of supliments like this add to their products, and most of the cost too,..I decided to try using just the Citrulline as a replacement for the Nitrix.
So far, (Three weeks), I have had very good results doing so, and have learned a thing or two about suplimenting with Citruline. One, it is indeed a lot cheaper to use it straight, rather than buying a prepackaged "proprietarty blend" from one of the big name supliment manufactures. Two, and possibly, most importantly for some as myself, I would guess, is that you may want to take it along with food, to act as a means for it's uptake to be slowed. I found if I took it on an empty stomach, it would cause the same reaction as the NoExplode.
I had always thought the caffeine in the NoExplode was what had me running to the bathroom, but after using the Citruline by itself, with the same results, (On and empty stomach), I'm sure it was the Citrulline in the NoExplode that was causing the severe reaction. I now take the Citrulline with a meal in the morning, and with food of some kind, a while prior to my workout, wihout any adverse reactions what so ever.
Thoughts?
Thanks all,...>>>--->
