Hello all. Sorry to drop in after such a long break but I have a question... I am working on my nephew's laptop and I came across a couple of scanned images of what looks like medicine bottle labels. They say, "Genotech Winstrol AQ, stanozolol (winstrol), 50mg" and the other says "Genotech Decanoate AQ, nandrolone (decanoate) 400mg (25ml multi-dose vial)".
Are these steroids that are used for body building? My nephew is in college and he has been lifting for about 2 years. I don't mean to snoop but the icons were right on his desktop and I just happened to see them. Should this be something he is warned about? I did a search on the web and it looks like one of them is supposed to be used for acne. Maybe someone that is more informed on these drugs can give me some insight and I can go from there.
As for myself, I am still eating well and I have maintained my weight of 155 (over 2 years now). Someday I hope to start weight training and stick with it.
Thanks in advance for the info!

Those are steroids or, at least, supplements marketed as such.

Stanozolol is a very common anabolic steroid in tablet form. Ben Johnson and Rafael Palmeiro reportedly tested positive for this substance. It is banned by the IAAF (track and field) as well as numerous other orginazations.
Nandrolone is another anabolic steroid.
Info on both can be found in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

If he knows about them, he's heard about some risks. Whether he cares about those risks is another matter and whether he will care about them omre if you mention it is also another matter...:(

Thanks for the info guys. He is a real nice kid and I don't want to see anything bad happen to him. When I give his laptop back to him I'll find a way to let him know what I saw and see how he reacts.

Interesting to see how it turns out, sounds like fake black-market labels to me. Winstrol is a trade name for Winthrop, AQ typically means injectable (aqueous), injectable stanozolol is manufactured in the US for veterinary medicine ONLY, and by two companies, Winthrop and Upjohn. "Genotech" may be an attempt to mimic "Genentech", which is one of the legit distributors of HGH in the US (along with Eli Lilly), and has had problems with fake black-market label imitators for many years....could be vials filled with vegetable oil for all your nephew knows (although stanozolol is water-based, not oil-based, but if the Genotech label fools ya, what are the odds you know that?) So I doubt these are for legit use...or prescribed...
Real issue here is why a college kid is taking steroids (or intending to take steroids, real or not). Need to talk that out with him. Good luck on that score, someone needs to sit down with him and face this.
(FWIW, I have never taken steroids...but the closest I came WAS college. Did my research, even got ripped off in a mail-order scam, fortunately that woke me up and forced me to re-evaluate WTF I was doing, and why I was looking for something to put in me instead of what was already there. Did my homework and re-discovered old-time inspirations...back to basics. Hopefully your nephew can be turned the same way.)
