View Full Version : Supplements for Cutting
Paradigm Fri, May 12th, 2006, 03:41 AM Hey fellas.
I'm spending my whole summer right now daily working out at the gym. It's a big commitment. A long with this big commitment, I want to have every edge that I can get to get rid of the fat off my body, but not at the stake of imposing any health risks, obviously!
I'm interested in buying a few good supplements I can take like caffeine or things like that.. which make you more energized and burn fat more.
Currently the only supplements I'm taking are multi vitamins and protein shakes.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Many thanks!

Mr_Potato_Head Fri, May 12th, 2006, 05:52 AM I'd be interested to hear others advice on this. I'm currently doing a cut but am not sure which supplements would be best for energy prior to a workout.

If your diet is good, there's no need for any supplements.
If your diet is not good, you're wasting money on supplements.
Your opinion may differ.

My opinion does not differ because you used the word "need." I think supplements can be a huge help but nobody really NEEDS caffeine or protein powder or creatine to lose fat.
If your diet is not good, you're wasting money on supplements.
This is very true. It seems so simple, yet I know a lot of people who cannot seem to get this. It really is frustrating.
"My PWO meal is BCAA+WPI+Nitrix...and a large pizza an hour later!!!"

Hey 1Fast, didn't I explicitly tell you not to give away any of my secrets??? :nono:

So this wasn't okay... Today my PWO meal was BCAAs, soon followed by sweet potato, eggs, tuna and grapefuit. However, my PPWO meal was pizza and french fries... :o
At least the pizza had broccoli, roasted red peppers and chicken on top, right?. :blank:
Skoorb Fri, May 12th, 2006, 04:02 PM If you're wanting to avoid health risks, you'll obviously avoid any fat loss stimulants. Most off weight loss is diet and exercise anyway. They are an edge, but one that comes with a cost I don't think you will need. I think they are a crutch and should be eschewed unless a person is competing for a competition. The thinnest I've ever gotten (about there now) I've not even bothered with them at all.

1fast makes some good suggestions and good points...like he said diet is more important than supps, but if your diet is in order they can definitely give you at least a bit of a boost.
