I love Gnocchi but I know its quite heavy on starchy carbs. When is the best time to have starchy food like this? Would it be best to have this before or after a workout?

The breakdown is:

Total Fat 2g
Saturated Fat 0.5g
Total Carbohydrates 67g
Dietary Fiber 3.4g
Protein 9.7g
Sugars 2.2g

In what kind of sauce?

Personally- I'd call it a cheat meal sort of food. It's white potato, white flour usually and added fat. Tasty but I think you'd be hard-pressed to routinely work it into a cutting diet.

done in a tomato sauce with a t/spoon of olive oil.

I usually have it once a week.

That wouldn't be the worst PWO meal in the world. With some added protein of course...

Huh? There's only 2g of fat, and that's only if you eat the whole serving. That is not nearly enough to cause any concern, even if you do avoid fats PWO. I however, don't. I keep them far lower than protein/carbs, but still have a good 10-20g.

2g isnt going to do anything.
WORST CASE those 2g will go right to fat storage. OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

PLUS the spoonful of olive oil. If that t/spoon is tablespoon that's another 14-15g of fats.

I think your first meal PWO (that is, post-post workout). That's a great time for carbs, fats, protein, water, food, calories, etc. I would recommend eating the gnocchi with some more lean protein.

Thanks for the advice guys. I ate it without any sauce and a tea spoon of olive oil with some lean beef. All in all it came to around 11g of fat 50g protein and 60 gram carbs.

I put in some extra effort at the gym yesterday to try and make up for it  Made gains on 9 out of ten lifts :)
