I'm due to start a proper bulking program next week but thought I would have a week of cardio beforehand. This cardio involved running 5 and a half kilometres. I havent had much exercise and only recently quit smoking (a month on Monday). I ran the same course about 5 weeks ago while I was still smoking and completed it in 38 mins )poor I know). I ran it last night and managed to beat my original time by 4 mins. My aim is to get under 30mins within 6 weeks.
Anyway, the last time I ran the course I was aching for about 4 days after (I didn't really stretch properly). I did the appropriate stretches before and after last night and am now only mildely stiff (no pain). Most threads suggest people relax as much as they can in between exercise and so on but if I am a bit sore, is it safe for me to run again tonight. I only ask because I read the DOMS link in schteevie's guide to bulking and am unsure.
Sorry for the rambing. I was alot more articulate before I started writing this......
