Sorry to bring this up again,..I didn't find exact dose info doing a real fst search. I'm excited to finally get my hands on the stuff, and need some help figuring a mix.

For those that have used, or currently use this,..What measurements are you using to create a dose? ( ie,..X number of tsp into X amount of water/coolaid ) The container has 1/4 tsp at 390mg,..What is recomended for this type of supliment? I have seen 25 grams mentioned before, but wasn't sure if BCAA's were a sup that needed to be eased into or not. I sure don't want to over do it,...

Thanks all,...>>>--->

20-25g is probably a good ballpark figure.

BCAAs are amino acids. They're in your food. If you take whey, there are a ton of them in there. So by that logic I don't see why can't just start out taking the recommended amount.

I think what I read is like 6-10g pre-workout and 14-16g post-workout. Anything in that range is probably good.

Looks like I found it,..but it's relitive to what your goals are,...Don't hesitate to post, I'm still very interested in everybodys use, and experiences,...Every little bit helps,...

I found recomendations of anywhere between 5gr, and 25gr - 30gr if you are megadosing. What would be the benifit of megadosing BCAA's?

Ps,..By the way. I just mixed my first bit of the Bulk Powder,...Yea buddy!! On it's own, it's not too good, but if I had to, I think I could down it. Coolaid makes it taste like MUCH better. This I can stand no problem,a nd it was just a little bit of coolaid. Is it recomended to use a ceratin amount of liquid with the powder, or does it really matter? I like to use as little liquid as possible, then follow up with plain water afterwords,..

I have only recently been taking the Bulk Nutrition BCAA (http://forums.johnstonefitness.com/showthread.php?t=27870) Supplements. I might have different goals than you. But if you do any search on BCAA you can find tons of info.

Hope it helps.

Get a digital scale (like a Salter) that measures in 1g increments.

One TBS is roughly 5g. So if you're shooting for 25g a day, it'd go something like 2TBS Pre W/O, 3TBS Post W/O. The density of the BCAA flakes seems to change since my container says 470mg per 1/4 teaspoon.
If you over or under measure amounts based on TBS vs tsp vs cups...don't sweat it. You don't need to be exact right down to the 1/2g.

A scale is your best bet to measure food, sups, ect. I also have a small scoop from my old betagen product that is 5.7g when full

I use the old digital postal meter scale from my office that weighs oz, gram, 3rd class, and bulk.

Thanks guys,..Just the info I needed,...I figured rough the other day, as I didn't think it was a big deal to be off a little with the BCAA's,...The TBS method is what I came up with, so I'm glad that is a normal way to do things,...

It is strange tasting stuff,...;) but not really all that bad al all, and the mixability is fine, if you let it set a few minutes,a nd shake it a sceond time. After that, it's completely desolved,..Take a swig, and Go workout!

I would use Crystal Lite pink lemonade as a flavor. Sugar free and helps with the tart taste of the BCAAs. You mentioned kool aid before. I'm not sure if you want that much sugar in your mix.

My mistake,..I'm so use to talking to people I know, that are aware of my diabetes, that I tend to forget to mention "Sugar Free", when I'm talking to others that aren't.

I meant to say,..Sugar Free Kool Aid. Thanks for double checking me though,...

I used Crystal Lite Lemonade this morning with my bulk BCAA drink and it worked wonders. It actually tastes pretty good that way. Amazing difference from that nasty bitterness of the BCAA/water mix.

No kidding,...Just a little something to take the edge off is all that is needed,...I will try the Chrystal lite. I have some at work,...The Kool Aid has worked well for me so far,..Shake it up, let it set a while. Shake it again,..let it settle down,and your good to go,..."Good, and good for you",..;)

The more I mix this stuff, the more it looks like a lot to desolve. How much fluid do you use for 25g. of the Bulk brand? I usually try to use as little liquid as possible, then follow up with water,...This stuff is being pretty stuborn when I use the 25g. worth of powder.

Thanks,...>>>--->
