Hi All
I need some suggestions on what to eat for breakfast besides the recommended oats or egg whites.
My workouts are all in the mornings before breakfast.
I am sick to death of oats and egg whites are just not practical for me in the mornings (I go straight from gym to work).
Please help?!
Regards,
AngeliX

What are your requirements?
I make up batches of muffins and store them in the freezer. You can also make oatmeal eggwhite pancakes and store them in the freezer.
2 egg whites
1/4 to 1/2 C of any liquid (eg. cottage cheese, silken tofu, yogurt, mashed banana, canned pumpkin, etc.)
1/2 C oats
1/4 C wheat germ or oat bran or ground flax seeds
flavorings like vanilla or almond extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger
cocoa powder is tasty as well
you can add protein powder if you wish
Mix well and fry like a pancake. You can eat it in your hand or freeze it any carry it along as a snack.

You might try to add low fat (1%) Friendship Cottage Cheese. It has almost no fat and no carbs... so you can dress it up the way you like. I personally would love it on Heirloom Tomatoes which are in season right now. I am not a big cottage cheese fan... but I particularly like the taste of Friendship Cottage Cheese.
My AM workouts are all fasted cardio followed by a protein/fat with little or no carbs. It does not sound like you are on that form of food plan, but in case this might be helpful, these are the meals I select from for breakfast:
1. Scrambled eggs and egg whites with chives and tarragon and heavy cream + Low Fat cottage added at end just to heat up to get Protein macros right.
I go through periods when I want scrambled eggs and periods when I want fried eggs.
2. Wellshire Farms organic pre-cooked low fat sausage...they have pork and turkey and other versions. (Whole Foods) I fry them in the pan with nothing added. But they are great to eat cold if you are on the run and don't have time to cook. I go for the pork in 3 flavors: Chorizo, Andouille & Polish. Their seasoning is delicious and they taste great. I cut them up in advance to meet my macro needs and add LF Cottage Cheese when needed for protein.
3. Cottage Cheese with toasted tamari-soaked almonds (Whole Foods) and Jane's Crazy mixed up salt. (http://www.4sullivans.com/jtsgeneralstore/Krazy_Salt/krazy_salt.html)
