As my boss would say, "If you like it, I love it."

Seriously, if you feel great, then it must be working for you. I'm sure some people would quibble over nutrient timing or macro ratios, but I see nothing intrinsically wrong with it.

As far as a critique, you are very cute, you seem to be enjoying your world travel, and I love your screen name. How's that for feedback?

I am currently 5'0 and weight 139. eeek! I want to lose a pound and a half a week until August. My goal weight is 120. I currently workout 5 times a week, but right now it is only cardio. I am going to start working in weights at least twice a week starting today.. I have a hard time getting weights in. I was thinking of doing weights on the weekend and cardio on the weekdays.. does that sound alright? I know the calories sound low, but since I started incorporating a little more protein and cheese with my fruit/veggie snacks I don't feel woozy anymore. Hopes this helps! :)

Hey.. I am sooo sorry I am reposting this here.. but I am not really getting any action from the female forum..
I will include a little more info about me and my goals. I am currently 5'0and weigh 139.. eeek! My plan is to lose 1 1/2 pounds a week until August. I want to lose a total of 20 pounds.
I work out 5 times a week, all cardio right now. I think I am addicted to it. I know I need to incoporate weights in to my workout.. and I am working on that! =) My biggest problem is my diet, so I started using Fitday.com.. (day 3 today of the rest of my life!) I just want an opinion on my diet. I have been shooting for 1200-1400 calories a day. Please help! Thanks..

Could you be a bit more specific on what advice you'd like?

Main observations would be :

not enough quality fat.
not enough protein with last 2 meals.
not enough fibrous veg.

too much cheese.

When do you do your cardio and when do you lift (time of day)?

What are the total g of fat/carbs/protien.

Are you looking for opinions on a 'really good' diet, or things you might tweak a bit?

i agree...we kinda need ot know when you are working out.....but a better meal plan would be in order regardless i suppose...too many "empty foods" in your diet...you WONT stick to it..

an example of a better diet would be like this..(this isnt to your macros so dont take it as law...its just an idea

meal 1: 2 egg whites one egg, 3 slices of lean turkey bacon

Meal 2 and 3 (id also not eat the same meal back to back..VARIETY:::::LOSE THE PITA, have the chicken the cheese and the veggies as a salad...id also toss the ceasar , maybe make a dressing from flax seed oil and mustard..

meal 4 keep the tuna..those crackers are too processed...find something alittle better...maybe have it on some ezekial bread...(imo ditch the mayo) not a fan of mixing fat and carbs
meal 5:some more protien..this is a silly little meal
meal 6 again..silly...alot of sugar before bedtime...

meal 5..

I work out right when I get out of work, usually around 5 pm.
I guess I just want someone to take a look and tell if my diet looks good or if I should make some tweaks here and there. :) Thanks for responding.

Just kidding... :D

The sooner you start, the sooner the fat will start coming off.

IMO, that might be a tad too low, but I'm not the best with giving calorie advice to females. I would assume with cardio 5x/week and hopefully lifting soon, you'd want closer to 1600 calories or so, but I could be off. I certainly think 1200 is too low however.

Today's Foods

Meal 1: 1 cup cheerios 1 cup skim milk
Most people will rip you for this, but it could be worse. Of course ideally you'd have something like eggs and oats, but if you can't or refuse, this isn't terrible.

Meal 2: 1/2 whole wheat pita, 1 piece grilled chicken, a pinch of low fat mozzerella cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and 1/2 a teaspoon of cesar dressing

Meal 3: 1/2 whole wheat pita, 1 piece grilled chicken, a pinch of low fat mozzerella cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and 1/2 a teaspoon of cesar dressing
Looks good to me.

Meal 4: Tuna with cracker and low calorie mayo. (The pre-packaged ones)
Not bad. Again, most people won't like to see a cracker, but if it's just one or two, it's fine.

Meal 5: (Snack) 10 cherry tomatoes and a slice of mozzerella cheese
Could probably use more protein here, but it's not too bad for a snack.

Meal 6: (Snack) 1 large apple and a slice of mozzerella cheese.
Same as above. How about cottage cheese or something higher in protein and lower in carbs if you were to lose/move the apple?

I drank water all day long.. but I had a diet soda with my tuna.
I don't think a day goes by that I don't have a can of diet soda.
