When I first started this diet I was eating lots of snacks which primarily consisted of nuts. I am sick to death of eating them and I wanted to know if anyone else has a healthy suggestion to take to work. I need something that won't be messy. Please help!!! :p

Here is what I have as part of my rotation of snacks:
Cold Chicken Breast (every other Sunday I grill 10 lbs of chicken breasts and individually freeze them. Just grab a baggie and take to work, it will be thawed by noon)
Shrimp
Cottage cheese
Fat free pretzels and fat free sour cream to dip them in
1 piece of fruit (I'm partial to bananas)
Instant oatmeal (I put into a coffee mug and add some hot water, then mix)
Fat free string cheese
Yogurt
Tuna (if you can eat it right out the can . . I do)
Dry cereal (Kashi, etc)
Protein Powder (just add cold water and stir)
Any veggies (carrots, broccoli, celery, cucumbers, etc)
WATER!!
Beef Jerky
Nuts
Couple of slices of whole wheat bread and some Natty PB

I'm sure there are many others, but I stick mainly to these.

Cheddar Cheese rice cakes taste like cheetos. 9 of them = 70 cals. Peanut butter and butter rice cakes taste good too.
Fruit Skins taste really good..they are like fruit roll ups. They are 45 cals each.
I had some really good fat free organic oatmeal cookies. 3 = 100 cals
if you have a fridge you can bring strawberries with 6 tbsp lite cool whip (60 cals).
I have this as my lunch, but you could always have some tuna with wheat crackers as a snack.

Wow, you guys had a lot of ideas that I hadn't thought of. Also, I hadn't heard of Fruit Skins. Do you mean actual skins off of fruits or is that a snack food? (If they're like fruit roll-ups, they sound great.)

They are called Fruit Skins and are made from the skins of fruit plus the fruit itself. they can be found in the health food section of your grocery store. They are individually wrapped and taste like fruit roll ups..they are great. They are about 30-45 cents a piece and 45 cals each.Wow, you guys had a lot of ideas that I hadn't thought of. Meringues are also a good snack if you have a sweet tooth (like me). You can buy huge containers of them and split them into baggies to take into work with you. (depending on the brand) they are 20 cals, 5g carb, .3g protein.

i like those mandarin oranges... they come in the cans where you don't need a can opener...

also beef jerky is good... and believe it or not, ICE... if you can get ice, you just crunch on it and i think it messes with your brain and makes you think you are eating, and it keeps me from snacking sometimes
