View Full Version : I have lost 105 pounds
Big Guy Fri, March 26th, 2004, 07:31 AM Brag rights!
The first pic is of me @ 23 stone 1 pound (don’t ask how I got that big)
The second is of me now around 16 stone, with my sisters baby (not mine!!)
The diet I used was a healthy eating diet (slimming world) none of that quick fire stuff that is no good for you in the long term IMO.... I go along to class most weeks with loads of old biddies!!
I lost 5 stone 7 pound in the first year and then took a year off (caught up in life) and then went back upto 20 stone.. I started again in Febuary and have lost 4 stone since then, so 2 years of dieting and I’m seven stone less… and feel goooooood! I was always happy at 23 stone, but I feel more confident now.
I wanna lose another stone maybe stone and a half to finish me off.. hope to be done by Easter… xmas will be hard but I’m sure I will cope!
Exercise is also a big key, football every Monday and maybe out on the bike once or twice a week..

Makka Fri, March 26th, 2004, 07:43 AM Congratulations!
You certainly have bragging rights!
Do people even recognise you on the street?
Jimbo Fri, March 26th, 2004, 07:58 AM I don't know what to say. I'm amazed! An inspiration to say the least. :D
PeterN Fri, March 26th, 2004, 08:01 AM Hey Big Guy! Guess you followed the link from OcUK?! Welcome, and well done!
guava Fri, March 26th, 2004, 08:03 AM Super!
You look like you had trouble getting around in that first pic. Must be tiring carrying around all that extra weight.
To me, it looks like you'd be too light if you lost any more weight, but maybe that's just the photo.
You must be super proud of what you've done.
tashimarie Fri, March 26th, 2004, 08:12 AM wow! you look great!
MYBAD? Fri, March 26th, 2004, 08:26 AM Welcome to the forum.
What an amazing transformation! You dont look anywhere near 16 stone in the second pic? Would be great to hear some more details about the diet(s) and fitness plan(s) that enabled you to do this.
wow.

Fluogen Fri, March 26th, 2004, 08:50 AM Wow, I never would have put those pics together as being the same person. Great job!
And I learned what a stone is. Thanks, Google.

Reno_1ted Fri, March 26th, 2004, 09:46 AM Thats amazing ! Being 23 stone takes some eating, meaning getting down to 16 takes some dedication to cut that out !
Sweet mate, one of the best transformations ive seen. :claplow:

Nico Fri, March 26th, 2004, 03:19 PM That may be the best trasnformation we've seen so far. Or maybe John's or Vortex72's.
You should post more photos in the photo gallery section-the difference in your face is striking.
SilentCrash Fri, March 26th, 2004, 05:18 PM Amazing!!!
great job<3
Funeral Fri, March 26th, 2004, 05:22 PM Great Job man.
PeterN Fri, March 26th, 2004, 06:06 PM For all those wondering, a stone is 14 pounds, and is probably the most common unit of weight used to discuss ones weight in the UK.
I guess in america you just use lbs? For instance, if you said you were 214lbs, we'd say 15 stone, 4Lbs
marcus Fri, March 26th, 2004, 06:41 PM Lordy! :claplow: :claphigh:
Great job mate, You look so different and healthy and young. Good luck with your remaining goals, no doubt you will achieve them :tu:
Marcus
Dathmar Fri, March 26th, 2004, 06:54 PM yeah dude, how tall ARE you? if i had to put a weight on the second picture i'd say around 170ish pounds, not 220. you're either hugely tall or ripped like crazy=p

All this "7 lb stone etc" stuff is confusing.. what is a stone in american weight? :o
You looked like a walking fat dead man in that top pic, much like I looked. Not only were we fat, but we were extremely unhealthy.
Your progress is outstanding!
See my sig for my transformation. I'm still working on it but I've come a long way too! Doesnt it feel great to be in control of your own body?
Brian Sat, March 27th, 2004, 03:30 AM Oh my...!!! What an incredible success!! Good job, dude!!! :tu:

There are 14lbs to a stone. Eg. 15 stone = 210lbs
