I am curious to know what supplements (fats, protein powders, vitamins, etcd.) are you currently using and are they beneficial? I am currently cutting but not using anything like this...I am wondering if I should give it a try? Somewhat suggested taking Chromium?

I take no supplements, except occasional multivitamins or calcium if I'm having an off day.

Insted of a whey protein, I prefer a soy protien. I use the Shaklee product because its very pure and has all the aminio acids that our bodies do not make, plus the stuff my husband says helps my muscles recover from lifting.

I also take a multi and a well-rounded B vitamin. I love my B. It's a life saver.

I also take C on cardio days because I have read if you take C when doing cardio you will burn more calories, or something.

staples
multivitamin
probiotic
calcium

for low carb
calcium/magnesium/zinc combo
potassium
soluble fiber

Occassionally l-glutamine if my muscles are aching more than normal or I did a grueling strength workout.
Whey protein on an as needed basis.

I dont know if it's a coincidence but I've noticed that if I dont take my vitamins, my knees and legs ache (particularly when low in carbs that day.)

Staples for me : L-Tyrosine (I am having metabolism issues, long story, doesn't apply to you.), L-glutamin, Glucosamine sulfate (joints)

random experiments: Green tea extract, Chocamine, Cayenne pepper (this one I really liked, but I think I have an ulcer - it brought me to tears the other day with stomach pain so that bottle is on the shelf) - really the first two were just caffiene type things.

Stay away from the chromium - there is a lot of evidence it turns into the wrong stuff in our systems or is the wrong stuff to begin with. It's just not worth going there, you get a natural dose usually anyway.

Food Stuff : Whey Protein Powder, Nature's best perfect RX shakes (sometimes, it's a MRP)
