Last night my wife and I went to a friend's birthday. A few people were there that we haven't seen in about a year or two. There were two guys that I knew well back in the day (2 + years ago). Neither of them recognized me at all! They barely acknowledged I was there, and carried on for about 1/2 hour of small talk. Then one of them said, "Holy F#(@, Mike, is that you!". The other got up with mouth gaped. It was probably the best compliment, though none was actually given.

The point, which no, is not self-promoting, is that anyone has the power to change their lives. Anyone can wake up one day and decide to change their lives. We all have it in us. Through hard work, we can make the most out of our days.

I know I was one that used to sit up and watch infomercials (so sad!) and think that the achievements the people on t.v. got were next to impossible. I had tried everything. Atkins, Zone, everything! I got tired of it all and gave up every time. Honestly, it wasn't until I decided one day that I would not put my body through hell anymore. I was not going to eat my way into an early grave. Instead, I would be fit. I would be be in great shape.

The journey has been life changing. My old life seems so boring and purposeless. I am now filled with the zest for life. I want it all now. The journey was actually a lot of fun.

For those that are just reading these messages, not really sure whether they want to take the plunge, believe me, it can be done! Use the board. Ask questions. The members on this board are SOOO helpful, and willing to lend a hand whenever possible, because they've all been there, done that. And who knows, you may even meet a few good friends on the way!

More importantly, you WILL get in shape. You WILL have the body you always wanted. It can happen! Errr, it WILL happen! Go out and get it! Change your life! Do it for the ones you love, do it for your own vanity (hey, we're all a little vain!), do it for yourself.

Good luck!!!!

Mike

Thanks.... believe me, I was the most unmotivated person. I didn't stick to anything in my life, fitness included. I just let time pass. Sat on the couch, eating. In the media gallery you can see my progress pictures "First time showing 7 months + progress". There is my before picture...but be warned, it's scary!

Thanks again !
