I've recently joined a gym that is not so close. I've found out that to go there and train and come home it takes me nearly 3h30m a day, too long to go on a daily basis,so I have to do something.
Maybe I should quit the gym and buy something I could do at home, like atreadmill or so, or go less to the gym and just do weight traning there and do cardio on the other days at home,
any input would be great
thanks!

Perhaps you could go running, play a sport (soccer? basketball?), jump rope, do an aerobics video, or something along those lines for your cardio.
As for lifting, you could look in to buying a set of weights and search this site for different exercises that will be most beneficial.

do weights 2/3 days a week, or just 2 days a week full body, then for cardio play sport or go running in the morning. most of my cardio is done at home.

That's a foul waste of time. How long is spent working out of that 3:30?

I'd look for a closer gym or get some equipment for home. That sounds a lot like my old work commute time and I always felt bad that that time was just going to waste just for travel. That's 17.5 hours a week (M-F: 5 days a week) or 70 hours a month just for travel. However you want to look at it. You also might want to try the 5BX plan. Never done it myself, but I hear great things about it. Just someting to mess around with while you find a solution...
