I've read about this fatloss program in an ad for sylvester stallone's instone supplements.

The exercise program was like HIIT, but with weights instead of cardiovascular activity.

This is the routine:

Energy Systems Training
----------------------
EXCERCISE SET 1 SET 2
# of REPS

Squats or Leg Press 20 6
Lying or Seated Leg Curl 6 20
Seated Close-Grip Row 20 6
Wide-Grip Front Pulldown 6 20
Barbell or Dumbbell Bench 20 6
Cable Flye 6 20
Front Military Press 20 6
Preacher Curl 6 20
Rope Pressdown 20 6
Standing Calf Raise 6 20
Rope Crunch 20 6
Hanging Leg-Ins 6 20

Before going through the program, warm-up with 10-15 minutes of light to medium cardio.

--------------------------

Basically every exercise has 2 sets, one with 20 reps and one with 6 reps. The catch is that there is NO breaks between sets. The only time ur not lifting is when ur setting up the stations. So basically u have to move from station to station as fast as possible. In the ad he recommends that you work your way up to 2 or 3 complete cycles i believe. He also recommends that the workout be done 3 times a week.

here is the diet that goes along with it:

Meal 1 PRE-TRAINING MEAL

(I eat less carbs and calories before Energy Systems Training, to enhance fat burning)
I INTAKE PERFORMANCE Shake 3 caps-LEANFIRE
cals...270
Fat...6
carbs...14
Fiber...7
sugar...2
Protein...45

Meal 2 POST-TRAINING MEAL

(I like to eat more carbs and calories within 45 minutes after my workout, to enhance recovery)

8 egg whites
1/2 apple or banana
1 1/3 cup of oatmeal
1 cup of 1% milk
1 tablespoon of full spectrum
INTAKE OIL.
Multi Vitamin/Mineral

Meal 3

2 grilled or broiled skinless chicken breasts
1 small baked potato (with skin)
1/2 cup of broccoli
2 tablespoon of full spectrum
INTAKE OIL.
2-3 caps LEANBIRE
(especially if I am back on the set).

Meal 4
I INTAKE PERFORMANCE Shake
cals...270
Fat...6
carbs...14
Fiber...7
sugar...2
Protein...45

Meal 5
12 oz. salmon, or grilled tuna
1/2 cup of brown or wild rice
1/4 cup of mixed vegetables
1 tablespoon of full spectrum
INTAKE OIL.

Meal 6 (bedtime)
I INTAKE PERFORMANCE Shake
3 caps Forza-T (male only natural testosterone booster)

-------------------
Now if you replace the performance shakes with whey shakes, and get rid of the other useless supps, u might have a program here!

Comments...anyone?

Sounds like circuit training. I did this as a newbie and I think it was fantastic. I wouldn't do it now, but as a newbie it helped me learn which exercises were best for which muscles and how to use different machines. It also helped me overcome that fear of looking like a fool at the gym, and I got some good workouts too!

I'de bet you got a GREAT WORKOUT. The routine looks pretty tough. It's a total of 24 sets I believe, back to back, no rest. That's pretty insane. And the sets vary from 20-rep endurance to heavy weight 6-rep sets.

I think this should be an effective workout for fat loss. Coupled with cardio and ab training throughout the week. This could be a pretty good workout if you're after the beach body.
