Howdy,
I've been working out for over 1.5 years and have dropped about 20 lbs so far. Because of high cholesterol I focus on mostly cardio (bike, treadmill, elliptical) and do some weight training. I've noticed improvements in my overall physique, but find that I am still lacking muscle definition in my legs. I know I have lost some fat, but don't see the improvements in my legs like I want.
I should mention that the only workout I give them is the cardio training. All of my weight training is upper body. I understand that the key to showing muscle definition is fat loss and that you can't lose fat in specific areas. I have deliberately avoided weight training for my legs because I am concerned of adding muscle and therefore more bulk to them. Will weight training slim them down or make them bigger? How do I keep them trim and show more muscle defintion? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated?
Thanks,
Darren
