This is really making me angry because I always dread lifting weights on back days and sometimes leg days.

Every time I do deadlifts, my tailbone hurts when I get up after the set. A couple days later, my lower back hurts. It's not severe pain, but enough to cause a concern because I'm 17, for God's sake!

I try to perfect my form when I do deadlifts. I've tried to learn the form on my own, without a trainer, but I've studied form tips and try to be really, really careful with my form. I keep my back locked, don't round my shoulders, etc. What could be wrong?

is the back pain DOMS?

what do you mean by not rounding your shoulders?

focus on form, lower the weight. i had the same problems too at first so i lowered the weight. i increased weight slowwwly.

2 months ago, all i could do was put 2 25lbs plates. now i can put 45lbs and do them easily, no pain!

My back hurts bad too. I think its because I just started doing deadlifts about a month ago and I think its doms. I really push it too. 4 sets of 8 @ 285lb. Alot for me anyway. But its really bad pain where it hurts to bend over. I will see if I can get a video of mine for you guys to critique. I think my form is good, I think I just push it too hard for only doing them for a month. My back isnt used to them yet. I only do em once a week.

Is it muscle pain Stephen? If it is I bet you are using your lower back muscles too much to stabilize your trunk.

My lower back is always sore after deads.
Thats DOMS, just like you get on your abs and arms.

At least for me it is.
