For the past month I have started attending Yoga classes, which I love. However, I noticed that when I'm putting all my weight on my legs the lower half of my legs (below the knee) will actually become numb. ie. if I'm bending over and hanging while holding my elbows or if I get into a pyramid position, reach one hand over my back, and the other under my thigh and clamp the hands while hanging my head down

Is this normal? Could it be bad circulation? I've never had this feeling before while cycling or running.

Thanks

I had that when I started meditating. For me it started to become less of an issue as I got used to the posture. Though, everyone's different. Did you talk to your yoga instructor about it? They're probably quite familiar with it. Cycling and Running dont use the exact same muscles as yoga does.

Cheers, and good luck!

I get that when stretching calves/legs after a workout. I always just figured the pump in my legs combined with the pressure/compression from the stretches was impinging nerves? Dunno.
