been a bit since i've been here, and never was a huge poster, but i'm faced with a bit of a dilemna here=)

I'm a big fan of running, and i jump rope a lot. those pretty much make up all the cardio i do, besides various sports.... however, saturday, i managed to tear up my left ankle pretty darn good playing basketball, so there's gonna be no running for me for a couple of months at least.

that being said, i do all my training in my own home, everything i need for weight training is kept in the garage... however, like i mentioned, running is out of the question for a while, and being a bit strapped for cash, going out and buying an exercise bike or something else is also out of the question...

so basically, are there any low impact cardio exercises i can do? i mean cardio lifting or something of that nature? any help and advice would be appreciated.

Well one thing comes to mind you can do.
Its low impact, depending on how you do it and you can certainly work up a sweat. Length = 10 to 40 minutes.

The only drawback is you need a "partner"...

maybe see if anyone around you is selling an exercise bike? many people buy them and never use them, and basically sell them for very little. i got offers for nearly new ones for $40 CDN.. (less in USD), sure they werent the top of the line models but they would do the job. just a suggestion if you want to get an exercise bike without breaking the bank.

You can do a very light weight aerobic weights work out focusing on arm/shoulder/back/chest movements, almost like circuit training but lighter.

any more suggestions?? i did a rapid chest work out and it certainly got the heart rate up, that seems like it might be a good idea.
