View Full Version : How Many Calories Do YOU Consume During a BULK?

I got this idea from the cutting forum, where someone posted a thread asking how many calories you consumed during a cut.

I'd just like to get an idea of how many calories on average different people eat, kind of like a survey.

Please post the following.

1) Weight, Height, BodyFat%, Age, Bodytype(ecto, meso, endo, etc).
2) Pounds gained per week(on average).
3) Calories Consumed?
4) If you don't count calories, please explain yourself.
5) Any other information you'd like to share(anything special you might do during a bulk that you wouldn't normally do.
6) Favorite Food/Meal While Bulking

1) 174, 6'0, 11%, 19, Ectomorph.
2) 2lbs/week average.
3) 3000-3500
4) N/A
5) N/A
6) Home Made Weight Gainer(have this everyday pretty much):

2 Cups Milk
1 Cups Oats
2 Scoops Protein Powder
1 TBSP PB
1 Banana

1) 202, 6'1", 15%, 27
2) So far 2.25/week.
3) 4050 workout days, 3650 non workout days
4)
5) Eat pizza a little more often, like maybe 1 time a week but at least once every 2 weeks
6) Same as when cutting Protein powder and oatmeal. I could live off this stuff.

Let's see, i'm 6'1", started my bulk at 150 lbs, easy sub 7% BF, and went from 2100 cal. to 2600 cal. for one week, to 3100 cal. for one week, to 3500+ cal. I bulked for 5 months and put on a total of 50 lbs.:D I completely eliminated cardio also. :eek:

Let's see, i'm 6'1", started my bulk at 150 lbs, easy sub 7% BF, and went from 2100 cal. to 2600 cal. for one week, to 3100 cal. for one week, to 3500+ cal. I bulked for 5 months and put on a total of 50 lbs.:D I completely eliminated cardio also. :eek:

50lbs in 5 months, now that's impressive. Hopefully I can manage to pull off some crazy numbers like that.

Uh......you might wanna check out my picture at 200 lbs. To say I collected a little "fat" is an understatement.:doh:

2) 1lb when I haven't been slacking off (my year average is 0.6lbs per week, but I didn't spend the majority of the time on so many calories).
3) 3900 kcal
4) n/a
5) Less cardio, and I have to sleep more
6) Chicken salad

2) 1.5-2....1.75 for graphing purposes?
3) 3285 (off days)-3390
4) n/a
5) Egg whites...looking forward to stopping that.
6) Quarter pound of ground beef on workout days, oatmeal, whey shake EVERY day

1)181, 6'1, 11-12%, 26, not sure on body type
2).5-1 lb a week (slow clean bulk)
3)3500-3900 cals (I will probably have to up it to 4000 soon)
5) I do cardio 3 days a week (to limit fat gains) and lift 3 days a week.
6) Homemade pizza, once a week. 4 slices, whole wheat crust, prego sausce, turkey pepperoni, part-skim mozzarela, and garlic sprinkles, with olive oil on the crust. Best pizza I've ever eaten and more healthy than anything you'd find in a restaurant.
