Bluestreak Mon, March 13th, 2006, 07:33 AM On average for a beginner at weight lifting? For a beginner? No time at all. This can easily be accomplished with the right plan and one bulking/cutting cycle. Loosely following my guidelines in the first half of 2005, I gained 8-lbs. of lean mass on Swolecat's SGX. Greater results can be had with more discipline than I applied to it, and at that point, I'd been lifting weights for almost two years. -R marysson Mon, March 13th, 2006, 07:37 AM So that would burn 500 calories extra, right? Bluestreak Mon, March 13th, 2006, 07:45 AM So that would burn 500 calories extra, right? Elaborate on your question, please. Are you asking if 10-lbs. of muscle would burn an extra 500 kcal/day? If that is your question, there is no reliable corollary between calories burned per unit of muscle mass. -R |
