Hye guys, I'm currently a "pudgy" guy with fat around my chin, chest and of course my belly. I am meeting my girlfriend's parents in 2 months time and want to look my best. (They're flying in from Italy)Want to lost about 10-15 lbs. I mean I'm not like FAT but I am one of those guys that don't look they're in the best shape.
Should i be focusing more on cardio or weight training? And how much cardio and how much weight training? This is very important for me since I wanna make a good impression on my girlfriend's parents.
(I am 5'9...165 lbs)
Thanks,

~KulminatiIf you haven't already look through the stickies at the top of the fat/ cutting forum. E.g. gravityhomer's guide to cutting (http://forums.johnstonefitness.com/showthread.php?t=19229)
You definitely need to be doing weights to maintain your muscle while losing fat.
For losing weight (fat) diet is hugely important, figure out a diet plan that fits with your life and post it on here if you want people to give you a hand making sure it's ok. (As a very rough guide it should be about 500 calories under your maintenance level, split over six meals, at least 0.8grams of protein per lb of weight, probably 160+grams per day would be good, some protein in each meal with rest from slow digesting carbs and good fats). Try fitday (www.fitday.com) if you need help figuring out calories.
Cardio is then also useful to help burn the fat more quickly.
You can get much more information from reading through the stickies though, and that should help you get started.
On a motivation point of view definitely take some before photos so you can see how far you've gone, and think about starting a journal on here too.
