So i got more creatine monohydrate and i have seen myself blow up almost 10 lbs of water weight. From 200-210 but it gives me that extra ummppff in the gym. My friend who is pretty big said not to take that stuff as it sux and to grab some NOVADEX and some FAT BURNERS.

I just started the MAX-OT 6 month program and want to stay around 200 but replace my extra fat with muscle. Im a strong kid as is is as i go to the gym frequently and just started zoning into the max-ot 6 month program. I eat or try to eat 5-6 times a day.

Morning is usually
Oats
Egg Whites
Whole Wheat toast

Afternoon
Chicken

Late Afternoon
Protien Shake

Around 6
Tunu or chicken or ground round
Brown Rice or whole wheat pasta or sweat potato

Gym

After Gym
Protien Shake

Bed

Now i take creatine about twice a day and as i said want to cut down my fat and replace with muscle.

Here are pictures from my other thread
http://forums.johnstonefitness.com/showthread.php?t=26098

As stated i 6' and have a kcal of 2088

To the best of my knowledge, novadex is an estrogen blocker.
Why the hell would you take that unless you're currently on or coming off a steroid cycle?
How long have you been training?
Why are you taking creatine 2X a day?
How much creatine are you taking?

Well they kind of market NovedexXT as a test booster, but I know what you're saying.

Creatine two times a day is okay depending on the amount in each serving of course.

hijack911: Your diet could use a bit of work. But first please break it down more detailed, tell us the amounts of each food in each meal, the times you eat them, and if possible the calories and macros (protein/carbs/fat) in each meal. If you provide us with more information then we can help you more. :)

hijack911: by the way your friend isn't necessarily correct. Creatine does not suck. :)

Well he like creatine monohydrate is old school and gives your bloat. The reason you lift more is cause it saturates your body with water giveing you more endurance.

Any way twice daily seems ok huh. Did you see the pics?

Anyway lets see

I usually eat around 9am to start.
3 eggs
1 cup oats
2 pieces whole wheat toast

noon
7oz of chicken

3pm
tuna fish can or 1.5 scoops protien (35g)

6pm
----
Pork or beef or fish or chicken (good amount)
/w Brown rice, ww pasta, or sweet potato

gym---

9pm
-----
Protien shake

12 BED

That's 2X the recommended dosage.(actually closer to 3X) :nono: You might wanna give your kidneys a break.

Well each scoop is 1 tablespoon (5g). Says to take 2-3 each day unless im missing something.

Get back to me on that.

ow about food wise. Im prolly not eating enough or right at all to lose extra weight and build muscle.

Recommended dosage for creatine (maintenance) is 3 - 5g daily. When loading, 4 doses of 5g approx. 3-4 hours apart for 5 days is recommended.
I'm not big on critiquing diets but I think yours looks pretty clean. I seriously doubt you're eating enough though. You definitely need to add some fats to it.

10g/day is loading amount I assume, though I thought loading amount was typically around 20g as doordude said. Loading is up to you, but you are not supposed to take that much for longer than a week or so at the most.

Does the label on the container say to take 10g every day for the entire run of the creatine??

As far as your food goes, it's not so great. Post workout needs more carbs, not just a "protein shake." Move that shake to about 11:55pm with some fat in it, and have a protein/carb meal or shake after you lift weights. Or you could move that 6pm meal to after your weightlifting session, and add in a pre-workout meal such as an apple. But that depends, what time do you work out?

Where are the vegetables?

Overall I think you need more food/cals. And if you can please break it down more than this. We don't know what "protein shake" is - it could be 15g/protein, it could be 50g.

Provide more info, please.

Sorry to hijack your thread hijack911, jahahaha, pun intended! but If I could just throw in a smalll question that is semi related to creatine I'd appreciate it a lot since I don't want to waste it on a new topic.

What if you're taking creatine, but very little? I use creatine capsules, which is just creatine in little plastic containers. It's monohydrate 5000mg, L-Glutamine 2000mg, and Taurine 200mg, in 6 capsules which is recomended daily dosage. I take only 3 per day, is this bad? does it still have some affect on my body? the same maybe? just over a longer period of time?

Any advice is appreciated, Thanks again hijack911, and sorry again for bumping in here.

Okay, I assume then that you use one scoop, or 1.5, or 2? Come on man I'm trying to help you, but you have to help me help you.

What about my other questions and comments? Vegetables? Adding carbs to PWO? Adding fat to pre-bed shake? Having a pre-workout meal?

Just a word of reference. Nolvadex (Tamoxifen Citrate) is the estrogen blocker you are referring to. Novedex XT is a an over the counter (OTC) test booster.

You are correct, Novedex has aromatase inhibiting properties, but it is not the same thing as Nolvadex. I'm sure the marketing guys new exactly what they were doing when they named Nolvedex XT and did so for a reason, but I just wanted to make sure everyone here does not get confused by the two as Nolvadex is drug with significant potential side effects.

I use 1.5 scoops for about 38-40g protien. I do eat vegitables. I eat Spinach, Sweet Potatoes, Sauteed Onions Cucumber and Zuchini sometimes.

No I do not add fat to pre-bed shake. Should I throw in some NAT PB or maybe just eat a few handfuls of peanuts.

On the dinner side of things I usually eat right before i go to the gym. That is usually chicken with veg. or fish or burger meat with pasta or brown rice.

I have seen myself grow but prolly not as much as if i eat correctly and thats where i faulter. I did however today try to broaden what i eat and decided to make protien pancakes. THEY WERE AWESOME!!!!!!!

I did
1/2c cottege cheese
1/2c whole oats
little milk
1 scoop protien powder
splenda
little suger free syrup

BLENDERED IT AND COOKED. THEY ROCKED.

Question about that though is does blending the oats make them finer and worse for me?

It would have helped if you mentioned that stuff earlier...

Yeah natty pb will work here. You can also use different oils, I like flax-seed myself.

RIGHT before? How soon before? If you can move this meal to AFTER the gym trip that would work better. If not, try to make it at least an hour (if not a bit longer) before the gym trip.

No, blending the oats makes them easier to mix into your shake and drink. :) It may have some affect on the nutritional value, but I've found that it's not noticable, and mixing the oats into my shakes makes it SO much easier to get my oats in. :)
