What rep range should i stick too for best size and definition while im cuutting should i mix it up... i heard 6-8 is best for size but tell me what you guys do. im playing baeball also so i gotta keep my strengh up and i heard 10-12 reps is best for strengh. Any advice in the rep range i should stay in for the weights.. im leavin to the gym soon so can anyone help me out thx. pz

it's less than 3 for strength. (reps). I would suggest less than 3 if you want strength, and definition is determined by body fat, not by Reps/etc.

There is no optimal rep range for cutting, in my opinion. < 3 is typical strength, 4 - 8 is a tradeoff between strength and size, 9 - 15 is hypertrophy. There are no hard and set rules, however. For example, I can do one-armed chest presses for 20 reps and still build mass - despite it being a higher rep range. The best bet when cutting is to train to maintain muscle mass and burn calories, and focus on recovery. For example, I never do crazy 5-a-day intense heavy training when I am cutting. Some people swear by it. Me? I cut back to 3 sessions per week, and make them short and intense - maybe 20 - 30 minutes of active lifting. If I train too hard when cutting, I get sick and knock myself out.
